    Flightmaster, Speedmaster, Seamaster

Hier mal noch ein Insratetext zur Ploprof:

"It may not look pretty on the surface, but deep down it’s beautiful. We rose to the heights with the Speedmaster, the watch that visited the moon six times on the wrists of the American Astronauts. And now we’ve gone to the opposite extreme with the Seamaster 600, our professional divers’ watch. The Speedmaster functioned perfectly 100 miles up in weightless space; we wanted to make certain the 600 would have the same Omega reliability 2’000 ft. down in heavy water. So first of all, we carved the Seamaster out of one block of stainless steel; no joints behind. Then we gave it a heavy, hardened mineral glass which actually screws in. We gave it a turning elapsed-time bezel, which has its own lock to prevent accidental moving. We gave it an extra-safe, twin-locking crown. We gave it a strap of Isofrane®, one of the toughest underwater materials known to man. Finally, we gave it our most precise self-winding movement.
Then we tested the 600; we submerged it to a simulated depth of more than 2’000 ft. It stood up to the strain. We zoomed it from the bottom of the sea to twice the height of Everest; again and again. It stood up to the strain. The divers of Operation Janus wore the 600 when they spent eight days on the seabed, while setting up a new world deep-sea diving record. The 600 stood up to the strain.Admittedly the 600 is a very special watch; but all Omega watches go through rigorous tests before they leave the factory. They all suffer the seabed-to-Everest torture. They are all tested, individually, inside and out, for waterproofness. They are all guaranteed waterproof to stated depths. They are all so completely waterproof, so completely reliable as to be worthy of the name of Omega."
