The watch is made from a Bronze bar with a diameter of 70 mm, undergoing numerouschip removing operations and various dimensional checks.
Before the micro-peening finishing process, the watch is assembled and tested forpressure and water resistance at 100 ATM (corresponding to a pressure of a water columnmore than 1000 meters high.
On reference 9680, the rotating bezel is provided with an index made of PALLADIUM, orother precious material, and is secured on the watch glass retaining ring by 3 specialhexagon socket head cap screw located in the protuberances. These screws engage agroove on the ring and allow the bezel to rotate. A leaf spring pushes up the bezel, forcingthe screws to enter the cavities present on the watch glass retaining ring and preventingrandom rotation of the bezel. To choose the position of the reference index, it is necessaryto push down the bezel towards the body and turn it either to the left or right, releasing it inthe desired position. The admission resolution is equal to 2,5 minutes.
Index may have the shape of flat triangle, skull head, diver helmet, Ennebi logo andhemisphere.
Bezel removal does not impair the watertight integrity of the watch.Fondale ref. 9681 has fixed bezel.
The sapphire glass is mechanically secured to the body by the retaining ring, which is heldby 6 screws. Leak tightness is guaranteed by an O-ring seal with a large cross section.Tightness along the winding crown axis is obtained by means of an energized PFTE ring,on the body, and an oring on the shaft. This solution permits setting the watch even indeep immersions.
The model identification number is engraved on the case back. The serial number isengraved on the body, inside the lower lug.
A special screw is used for fixing the watchstrap. This screw is easily removable from eachhandle to allow replacing the watchstrap. This operation has to be done with thescrewdriver included in the watch box.
Each watch is delivered with three straps: two calf leather with bronze roller buckles andone shark leather with sewed stainless steel buckle.
The watch is delivered in a leather pouch.
