Alles anzeigenHallo liebe IWC-Freunde!
I agree. On my IWC AT 2000, the Velcro strap is no problem to put on, but the rubber strap...
The short end of the rubber strap is really no problem, very smooth, works every time.
But the long end... oh, my god... I almost scratches the case with the tools.
The pin gets stuck with about 5 mm sticking out.
As Sascha sad: let your watchmaker to do it.
A scratch costs more then a visit to a watchmaker
Ohne die Reklame wäre es ein schöner Wecker, Schade.
I agree. The "Quantum..." text is engraved on the inside of the glass, so one can but this L.E. Seamaster and simply exchange the glass for usual P.O glass.
@ pinjol: Thanks for presenting these links!
Regards!
Sascha
Keine problem. I hope that is ok to write in English here. I read in Germany, translate on-line, but writing is hard for me.
A lot of stuff I have seen on other forums, so I'm learning by comparing. I think this forum will help me with me German this way.
Have a nice weekend all.
It is very nice watch.
It was on my list some years ago, but unfortunatelly the prices are sky high now.
The ceramic is zirconium dioxide (ZrO2, also called zirconium oxide for short). I'm nuclear business, where my company makes nuclear fuel for power plants around the world (also in Germany). The fuel rods are made of Zircaloy (Zirconium-alloy), which when corrodes bulids up an oxide on the rodes, which is zirconium dioxide.
Zirconium dioxide is grey, which later in life transpose into white oxide.

I love this watch. A month ago, one was sold for about 3300 Euro on TZ Sale Corner. I didn't have $$$,
Wow! Nice catch!
Here are two pictures which I found on my Photobucket:
A watch friend of mine took this photo when he was on tour at IWC some years ago:
I wonder what pressure they used on this one.
Two different Omega knives:

Omega watch case, which I'm using for the straps:
I have Omega Kevlar X-33 strap, Omwga Coramid X-33 strap, Omega Speedmaster Velcro strap and some croco straps.
Of course, Omega cup one at work and one at home:
I have Omega Note book with Fischer Space Pen with Omega engraving:

Sehr schön!
Also... I recommend Velcro strap. Here is mine:
wieviel kostet denn das Kautschukband neu und wieviel die Titan.Stiftschliesse?
Die Titan Stiftschlisse ist nicht Titan. Das ist eine Stahlschliesse.
Hier ist ruckseite die "Titanschliesse":
I had a non-limited, for US market I think.
It had white dial, but normal Mark XV back.
Here is the nigh-shot:
I think it had betetr night visibility then IWC Mark XV bacl dial, which I also had owned

I tried to do one myslef, but failed. I think the pictures are from BWF (Big Watch Forum).
Anyway, I'm in precess ordering a black croco strap, custom made for my Inge. More about it when I get it.
