Die Deepsea DB gibt es jetzt erst seit ca. 1 Jahr - jetzt gibt es das Gerücht, dass Rolex die Produktion einstellen will..... Warum? Verkauft sie sich so schlecht? Eher kaum, es gibt überall ewig lange Wartezeiten......
Hat Rolex das bei anderen Modellen auch schon gemacht?
Werden solche Uhren dann später zu deutlich höheren Preisen gehandelt?

Die Gerüchte hierzu häufen sich immer mehr. Ich selbst bin mittlerweile auch davon überzeugt. Für mich auch ein Grund warum der Graumarktpreis, neben der zähen Auslieferung von Rolex, weiter steigt. Dies war neulich im amerikanischen Nachbarforum zu lesen...

Rolex released the Rolex Deep Sea - Sea Dweller model ref # 116660 in the 44mm case in 2008 at Baselworld. Production (in factory) was started in 2007 and there a number of DSSD out there with a 2007 dated Warranty Card. I know this because I have personally owned them.
In 2014 Rolex decided that sales of the DSSD were not meeting their expectation. (Probably due to its size and weight)
As a brand, Rolex models NEVER fail, and they could not allow the DSSD to become one. However, they were left with a relatively large number unsold and therefore being discounted by dealers who wanted to "get rid". This was bad news for the Rolex brand and could not continue.
Very cleverly, Rolex introduced a new DIAL for the watch. The Black & Blue version seen on the James Cameron DSSD. The fact that the watch has the SAME 116660 reference number confirms that what Rolex actually did was to change the dials OUT of the unsold models and replace then with a "limited" dial. Thus ensuring the instant hit of the JC DSSD and being left with fewer original Black Dial models that then became much more sought after as a "discontinued" model. Magnificent marketing by Rolex... But that is nothing new. They are the masters.
Yes, you will find brand new black dial models still in stock at authorised Rolex dealerships. Yes you will still see this model on the Rolex website. And yes there are currently still plenty around. BUT... Once these are sold and Rolex have no more they are gone. A discontinued model.
As for my personal sources, they remain private as contacts within Rolex and within authorised dealerships are scarce and hugely protected. However, this is hardly "top secret" information!

Und die kleine ohne Datum wird dann mehr begehrt und wertvoller sein? Weil die auch kaum verbreitet ist und so.

Frage an die Experten hier: sollte man sich noch eine Deepsea darkblue zu einem regulären Preis über Konzi kaufen oder nicht? Im Hinterkopf hätte ich da auch ein wenig die Uhr als Anlageobjekt......
Auf jeden Fall kaufen! Der Graumarktpreis liegt ja schon locker 1.000 Euro drüber, Tendenz weiter steigend. Kannst Dir ja ausrechnen was passiert, wenn sie tatsächlich eingestellt wird. Die Frage wird eher sein, ob und wie schnell Du noch eine vom Konzi bekommst...
Kaufen würde ich natürlich an Deiner Stelle auch, wenn die Uhr zum 01.07. 500-800 Euro teurer wird...

Versuch doch mal eine verklebte NOS Zenith Daytona zu bekommen unter 14000 Euro geht da gar nix......eine "kleine" Sub.14060 ohne Datum ist auch massenhaft hergestellt worden......sieh dir auch mal da die NOS Preise an !

PE kommt daher wohl auf jeden Fall, der Rest bez der Einstellung einzelner Modelle ist Spekulatius.

PE kommt, bis dahin wird der Markt knapp gehalten, nach PE flutet Rolex die märkte und die blaue deepsea liegt 30% unter Listenpreis

Andere Regionen des Planeten kaufen wie blöd zum aufgerufenen Preis, spätestens seit SFR-Entkopplung, laufendem Euro-Verfall, angestrebter Dollar-Parität, zweifelhafter Freihandelsabkommen die neue Tiefschläge bereithalten.. da geht der Output hin.

Natürlich ist die Daytona aktuell noch schwerer zu bekommen als die 116610. Aber ruf mal in Deutschland bei einigen Konzis an und frag mal nach der Verfügbarkeiit der 116610.

Wenn ich das richtig verstehe, spricht unser amerikanischer Freund aber davon, dass die BLACK dial DSSD dabei ist, auszulaufen ... Oder soll die Deepsea insgesamt nicht mehr produziert werden?
